Habitat - Indoor :: Lighting for tank/Basking

Lights OK?

My brother used to have a gecko of some sort - So when i got my turtle i just took the hood he used to have for his gecko and bought some new bulbs for it - I want to make sure that i have the right stuff though (see pictures)
I have a regular floating dock in the tank for him and he uses it often - but i just want to make sure that he has everything he needs.
(sorry for any spelling errors etc. its late and i dont have my glasses on lol)

The hood holds the fluorescent tube and two heat bulbs with a timer


The heat bulb heats the area to about 80-85deg and is a 50Watt bulb
The flourescent is white lite 25 UVB tube

So, the hood itself looks fine, although I prefer a compact fluorescent bulb. The blue bulbs are just overpriced incandescents, so when they burn out, just buy regular house bulbs. As for the tube fluorescent, I'm not familiar with that brand or what the 25 stands for, but the turtle isn't "tropical", so it might be a bit strong for him. That bulb is meant for desert animals, not aquatic fish.

The tube is the least harsh out of the bunch - they make others for desert
