I was thinking about building my two RES a tank after unsuccessfully finding one. I was wondering if anybody had any hints/tips or websites to go to for help. Im nervous of the possibility of having a tidal wave of water in my bedroom so any and all help would be apperciated.

I priced out making a tank. There are plenty of websites online with pictures and instructions. But the prices of glass were outrageous. Not a way to save money. If you need an unusual size check out glasscages.com

There are several of us here that have tanks from them and they are great. The costs with shipping were actually cheaper than the estimate for the glass the local glass shop gave me.

If you do want to build your own - here are a couple of links

What size tank are you looking for? There are also alternatives to glass tanks, like stock tanks and preformed ponds.

Stock tanks seem to work really well, as Steve said and can support a full size RES. I got mine for about 60 bucks at Tractor Supply Co. They're very sturdy and won't leak.
