tips for cleaning cage im lost i did about a 50% water change. put mondo in a big bowl for now but i dont no what else to do. do i jsut scrub under the rocks and get all the stuff out with a net. any tips for an extra clean cage

May I suggest "Tips for cleaning tank?"

You can rinse out the basking area with vinegar, for extra cleanliness. Make sure you can't smell any vinegar before you put it back in though. I have never done a big cleaning like this though. I usually just let the filter do the work, and do frequent small water changes.

Invest in a "python syphon" (around $30.00) it's the best thing in the tank cleaning business.
Look it up.....
Then get one of the brushes to clean the glass on the inside.
Thats about all you need for a super clean tank, the rest of the work should be done by the filter.

i have some kind of syphon from the guy i bought the cage from but i dont no how to work it

Use google to figure out what brand it is and how to use it.
Maybe find the instruction manual or see if they have the same one at petco where you can look them up.......
Whatever you do even if it involves buying a new one,do it man......Well worth it!
