Habitat - Indoor :: White Bubbles/Foam in 20 Gal Tank After Purshing Filter Sys

I have a issue with foam or white bubbles in my 20 gallon tank. I did not start seeing it until I purchased a filter for my two turtles.

I do know that the foam is the result of proteins in the water. Just like when you cook cook spaghetti or eggs. The water in the pot develops a white foam.

All I can find on the internet is that a good filter will resolve the issue. But like I said, I never had the issue until I got a filter.

Red-ear Sliders need plenty of warm, clean water as well as good lighting.

The rule of thumb we use for tank size is about 10 gallons per inch of shell length- although a mostly-full 10 gallon tank is OK for one or two very young turtles.


i got that off a site that said the same as what you sed bout the spaghetti, prob no help whatsoever but just in case it was a light issue or something??
