Habitat - Indoor :: FX6 making a knocking sound??

I cleaned the filter and put back together. Now it's making a knocking sound like it is getting air. I've reset it numerous times to expel the air, but it just continues making the sound. I've taken it completely apart a couple times and it will work for 10-15 minutes then back to knocking. Anyone experience anything similar to this? Or maybe a suggestion on what to do. Thanks

Are the inlet and outlets close to each other?

They r at the opposite ends of the tank. I think I figured it out. This was the first time cleaning it as I've only had the turtles in it for about a month. So when I moved them into it I put in some of the bio media from the old tank. After cleaning it I didn't have the old bio media set up the same. I adjusted it and seems to be working now. Thanks
