first off, how much water is in my stinkpots tank? I CANT FIGURE IT OUT! it drives me NUTS! the tank is 30"X15"X12" (srry 4 the caps) and what wattage of heater would i need for it?

I'm not quite sure on the tank size as the measurements give me an odd number. It comes up to a 23 gallon tank... This is the site I used to figure it out.

You'd need about a 75 watt heater for that size tank.

According to the tank calculator, your tank is only 23 gallons, which is way too small for two turtles. Are you sure those are the correct dimensions?

Well we really don't need the exact measurements to reccomend a heater. So let's round up, 30 gallons, and generally you want 5 watts per gallon, so look for a 150 watt heater. Usually heaters will have a rating on them, it'll tell you what size aquarium they can handle. When it comes to dimensions, some tank builders measure w/ or w/o the black lining which sometimes throws off the measurements. I reccomend the Visi-Therm Stealth heater, it's accurate and built out of plastic.

Are you sure 5 watts per gallon? That seems excessive... If I recall the 150 watts I was looking at were rated up to 60 gals, but perhaps different heaters have different ratings...

I use this for reference when looking at heaters. As I'm a HUGE fan of the stealth heaters and have never had issue with them and my water always stays the temp it's set for..
