I've bought some large river rocks. A secondary filter. And a backdrop for the T-rum.





This is all. Keeping my eyes open for a 90 gallon tank.

Sputnik looks very healthy. Are those lamps secure by clamping onto the ledges like that?

If I were you I'd clamp those things all the way down

Due to the design of the tank, that's as "clamped" as I can get them. Trust me, I've been paranoid about them for a long time! I make sure that when I'm not home the screen is on, I also put the screen on at night. The screen doesn't have large enough holes for the UVB bulb, that's why the cover is off in the pictures. I'm in the same room as the tank most of the daytime, so daddy is here if danger begins to lurk.

Sputnik is about 3 inches long now and will be a yearling around April. Whenever I try to get a good close up shot he begins swimming all over the place and my digi camera snaps shots too slow.

He's been a real blessing to me. He keeps me away from gaming 24/7 and it a great obsession. To think when Geno brought him home I wanted to get rid of him, and then I just couldn't bring myself to do it. He's also brought me to you guys who are as much a blessing as my turt.

What if the tank was turned around 180 degrees? The ledge at the front looks like it would support the clamps better.

Isnt the UVB light a little too far away from the ramp? Maybe its how its angled,but it looks like its atleast 2 feet away.I apologize if im wrong.Just curious.

If I turned it 180 I wouldn't be able to slide the screen on.

I moved the UVB bulb back a bit because I suspected it might be too close. I saw some pics of the turts who's eyes got puffy from it being too close. It's also a 10% UVB bulb, and that made me feel I could move it back a bit.

Nice tank.

I've used clamps like that and have always been able to push them down further so that the clamps clamp the glass. If there's any movement with those clamps like that, you can make them more secure by folding a piece of cardboard over the glass and pushing the clamps down further. The cardboard will take up any extra space and protect the glass. The lights do look too far away.

OK thats cool,nice setup by the way.I gotta get my self one of those acrylic docks!
