that honestly doesn't look strong enough. It looks just like a few pieces of MDF. 20 gallons of water weighs 160 pounds plus the weight of the glass and all the stuff in it. You're looking at close to 200 pounds.

A good way to judge is to sit on it and wiggle around a bit.

Just looked at the phone messages getting it Saturday!!!!! As far as he knows it's waterproof. When they got it it was. More than likely I'll get it then because he's getting his new 75 in tomorrow I just got to make sure and call to be sure it's in. I'm glad to get it now instead of the end of September!

Can you ask to test fill it there, so that you dont have to hassle with returning it if it leaks?

That's the thing once I buy it it's mine. But they haven't ever moved it since they put it where it is now. And it was leak proof when they got it. So if it leaks when I get it home and silicone doesn't help I'm just screwed. They are getting a 75 gallon tank for the snake tomorrow so he wants to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Hey if the 55 leaks and you can't fix it, you could always branch out into other reptiles! Like a bearded dragon or something cool.

Yeah true. I just really hope it doesn't leak! Plus I didn't see any cracks on the tank and I scanned as thouroughly as possible, and the csiliconing looked brand new.
