Habitat - Indoor :: lighting issue

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I use a 100watt MVB on my big tank. I agree with BullDog, this lamps get very hot. I have a large tank. I works very well, I replace it once a year. So basically $60.00 a yr for heat and UV rays! I can't beat that anywhere!
1 Female RES 6 in.
4'x2-1/2'x2' Tank
1 Mangrove Monitor 3.5 ft
10'x10'x6' Enclosure

I WAS LOOKING AROUND FOR A TANK LID COVER THAT HAS BOTH THE NORMAL LIGHT AND THE BASKING ONE.

I FOUND THIS I WANTED TO KNW IF IT IS WORTH GETTIING

ALSO WUD THIS DO THE SAME JOB AS A LAMP WITH A UVB BULB AND ONE OF THM LONG UVA LIGHT BULBS FOR MY TANK??

Curious as to what brand you use. I want to make sure I'm getting a good blb for the little guy

Yup, that's a good one. Just make sure there is no glass, acrylic, or mesh between the bulb and the basking area, since they block most/all of UVB light.

I use a zoo med 100w powersun bulb they have actually gone down some in the past year. You can find them for about 40 dollars now.
