I've always thought that all RES are really ugly animals. So when people say they look cute I'm pretty lost....I may say that they look cool are nice....

I think RES are beautiful. They are so colorful - with stripes on their skin and swirls on their shells. Their eyes are like jewels! (excuse me, I get carried away!)

I agree Spotsmama, RES are beautiful. The designs on their shells and the way their mouths seem to be puckering (at least on Tanner).

Well RES aren't "cute" in the traditional sense, like a puppy or kitten, but I think they are beautiful- from the designs on the top of the shells to that on the bottom (and the markings on her head and her cute little tushie....) They just have a certain charm about them. I can't imagine thinking they are "ugly" but then again *I* thought our crayfish, Bob, was DARLING

hehe I knew I'd offend almost everyone on these forums. Let's see my perspective, they're brownish green with weird unorganized lines, and then there's those weird red striped that seem so out of place. They also conduct themselves quite "ungracefully"

But, if you all are entitled to your opinion (even if it's wrong) lol

Oh, it takes WAY more than a differing opinion to offend me! Actually after I posted my response I thought, "hmmmm... I hope that doesn't come off as poopy...." because I respect everyone's opinion and their right to have them. I'm just not great at keeping my mouth shut and always have to chime in with my two (maybe less) cents!

I have to agree that RES aren't "cute" In the traditional sense of the word but they can be cute in their behavior and attitude. I love the fact that they are all so different..

I associate puppies and kittens with itching and asthma, so I don't find them cute anymore! I think RES are darling, but then I also think bats are by far the cutest mammal, and I love big fuzzy spiders like tarantulas; I think they are quite cute too!

and sorry but I can admire spiders but they aren't "cute" and I've NEVER seen a cute snake.. EWWWWWW!!!!! But then again, I don't look at them not even pictures so I guess I'm not a good judge..

Spotsmama- Um yeah. Possums look like big sewer rats. Not cute. I agree. I also see nothing cute about cockroaches. Particularly not the big hissing variety from Madagascar. Ewww!
