Habitat - Indoor :: 75 + tanks???

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hello, Looking to purchase a much larger tank than I have now (20), and the largest tank I have found at PetCo is 75 Gallons, wide ($199). Anyone familiar with Southeastern PA, Upper Delaware, and could direct me to a custom tank builder or store with larger tanks? I know the iNet has custom possibilities; however, shipping is ridiculous... If I cannot find any larger, is the 75 gallon, wide, suitable? I have 4 RES, about 1.5 - 2 inches, and I know the suggested tank size, which would be HUGE! I cannot afford a 200 + tank right now, and do not have the capabilities to place one in my house! So would a 75 gallon, wide, work? And please, no rubber maids...

Thanks, Nolan

Get a 75gal for now, then as they get bigger, get another one. While you're waiting for them to grow, keep your eye on Craigslist.com for any used aquariums in your area. I've found several really good deals on there. If you wait long enough you'll be able to find a large tank for pretty cheap. I got my 90gal for $75 and it's in new condition. But for that many RES, you're probably better off with several separate tanks since there's a good chance you'll run into some aggression as they get bigger.

I now have a total of 4 turtles 1 regular RES, 1 pastel RES, 1 albino RES, and my caramel pink RES .

here is where a problem might come in now . my regular RES and my pastel been together since they were practically hatchlings, they are both almost about 2" might even be a little bigger they are in my 180 gallon tank . my albino is in my 20 gallon long by himself he is about the size of a 50-cent piece. Now my reg. RES is a shy fellow every time i feed them my pastel comes right up to eat and my reg. RES runs to hide till im gone. so my pastel is eating a little to much, i decide to seperate my pastel from my reg. RES. so i could feed him and my pastel wont over eat. i put him in the tank with my NEW ALBINO to see if they would be alright together, they started to check each other out , they were face to race when all of a sudden the pastel grabed the albino by the head! I never moved so fast in my life. once i stuck my hand in the water he let go , thank god the albino was ok ! Man I never thought that would happen . so he is back in the big tank . when my caramel slider arrives i will keep him with my albino in the 20 gallon long they will be the same size and will stay in there for a few months till they get a little bigger, about the size of my other 2 nuts. Then I wil try to put them together . we will see what happens. hope i dont have to buy another 180 gallon :cry: Because this must come to an end .
i have a 90 gallon with fish that is 18" wide 48" long 24" high paid paid $199 from pet-land discounts. i have a house in the poconos canadensis area couple of miles from alpine mountain.

wow madmax...You have all colour variants of RES! Are you planning on becoming a collector? lol

You should take a picture of them all together sometime. (Not in the same tank, of course!) lol
