Habitat - Indoor :: new home for Pio Cherry head

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Everyone was telling me that Pio was eating too much ...walking around in his virvarium eating the plants and then his dinner, and that it wasn't humid enough. I changed it ...took out all the soil, moss, plants....and made it like it was suggested on a Redfoot forum. This is a picture of it. I really don't like how it looks but it is supposed to be better. Anyway, I put a heat emitter on one side and a long floresent light on the other. I was told that he didn't need UVB now at this young age, as in the wild they hide all day and there is no sun on the forest floor. Well, it doesn't hold the humidity as well, and I am always misting the tank. Now I have to go to all the trouble of putting it back the way it was. I guess everyone does it there own way with the best results they can get.
This is the new set-up

AWW, he is cute!!! I know nothing about box turtles, or there set-ups, but no UVB just sends up a red flag in my RES-set mind. It looks very roomy!!! I'm sure he loves it!!! :D :D :D
