Yet more stupid questions!

Anyone on here use or used a Penn Plax Cascade Canister Filter?

I'm probably gonna get a XP3 from bigal but figured I'd ask. I did a search but didn't get anything useful. I'm pretty much taking the turtle from my younger brother cause he's an idiot with the attention span of all teens. So I'm looking into getting proper new equipment for the turtle. I'm pretty surprised the turtle seems to be in such good health. I'm picking up a 60gallon tank this week since i found one local for $40 which should be nice.

What do you guys and gals think about using an old 30gallon with a basking area/bridge between it and the larger tank . Would the turtle wander into the smaller tank? I was thinking of feeding him in it vs the larger main tank

Someone on here does have a setup which allows there RES to travel between 2 tanks, It is a fine idea I guess. I wouldn't go waiting for your REs to wonder into the other tank just so you can feed it though. You would need 2 filtering setups if you were going to do this. A Large cascade filter may work fine in the 30 gallon but I would go with a XP3 in the bigger one. I have a XP3 in a 30 gallon and it does a good job most of the time.
