Habitat - Indoor :: water heaters and new tank

ok so i'm planning on getting wee Rolo a 110 gallon stock tank and i was wondering if a water heater would do bad things to it and/ or if their was another way i could heat the water if it did indeed do something bad to it. Also are their any good ways to keep the water heater protected? i heard of using pvc pipe but is their any other ways?

What do you mean by "do bad things to it"?
Are you concerned it will melt the stock tank?
You can always get a heater guard for it.

D-221 -- An average aquarium heater will not harm a metal stock tank. You will have to get one or two of them to heat 110 gallons of water.

I have a heater on my outdoor pond - plastic preformed. I just positioned it well so it's very unlikely the heater will come in contact w/ anything. They sell heater guards also.

An aquarium water heater won't damage a plastic stock tank either.

I use stock tanks and have heater guards on all of the heaters I use in them.
