Habitat - Indoor :: lamp stand

I remember a while back someone was having trouble finding a lamp stand that would adjust high enough to get the bulb the correct distance. I just thought I would post pics of the solution I had for the same problem. I bought a plant hanger from Walmart for $4.96. It extends 15" from the wall which placed the lamp the perfect distance over the tank. They had many styles and sizes to choose from, but this was the largest. Hope this helps someone else out.

Why didn't you think of this sooner?

I went ahead and got the MVB for Izzy and had such a hard time finding the right size hook/stand. PetCo and PetSmart all had only the small ZooMed stands. I did finally find the taller stand at reptilesupply and ordered it.

I am SO not creative like that - I would never have thought of that, good idea!

That's very clever. I was thinking I'd have to install a bookshelf over the tank and clamp the lights to it, but your idea is so much easier.

Nettle- The shelf above my tank was originally for the same idea as yours. After a near death experience with my clamp lamp I decided I needed a new plan.

Allison- I wish I would've thought of it sooner too. lol
