No, but for roughly the same price, give or take a few bucks, You could get a Canister filter made by Rena, Fluval, etc.

For a 54 gallon tank( are you sure it isn't just a 55 gallon? thats a much more common size) you will be needing to upgrade sooner or later, so you would want to get a Rena Filstar XP3 or something similar in Fluvals size range. They can be had for $120, even though they used to be much cheaper, its a rarity to find them for much cheaper than 120. Anyway shop around, I think you will like a mainstream canister filter much more than a pond filter.

I have a pond filter rate for 325 gph in my 110 gallon pond, and it doesnt do the best job, although it works. For an aquarium i would also recommend a canister filter. Any reason why you want a pond Filter?

I saw a filter on there made for ponds that is made for 1,000 gallons for only $30!

If it's a pond filter, I'll bet it's only the filter----you'd still need to buy a pump.

yeah my 54 gallon tank is a bow front corner tank which explains that odd amount of gallons -- i was guessing that a pond filter would be stronger than a canister but thanks to all of your advice I may just go with the Rena Filstar XP3
