Habitat - Indoor :: IDEAS FOR BUILDING A BASKING AREA

i've been thinking about building a basking area for my turtles but not sure how to build it i looked at everyone's ideas so i decided to buy those plastic egg crates then right there i am lost cuz my tank is only 10 gallons
so wat can i really do with a 10 gallon well my idea is have an area on the left top side of the tank and then have a ramp for them to come up but then i am stuck again how can i attach the ramp to the basking area if so with wat?BUT WON'T THE TURTLE MAKE THE RAMP DROOP DOWN WHEN THEY TRY TO GO UP BECAUSE THE ARE HEAVY? OH I JUST NEED SO MUCH HELP! also some people say they just buy a crate the ones you get at like big lots, dollar trees and all and then cut one side of it so that they can climb on ?

10 gallons for turtles?! plural?
do you have any of the other essential things needed to keep them heatlthy?
i.e. filter, heat lamp. UVB lamp, heater?
if you have all of those how much space is left in your tank?

Oh boy, where to begin? How big are your turtles exactly? And how many do you have? Don't waste time or money building them an above-tank basking area, get them a bigger tank. Please. And I'm really hoping you are going to say you have 2 baby turtles in that tank, like 1 inch big.

Since you're already aware of the 10 gallon rule, I'll skip that. Instead of investing in an above tank basking area, you should probably save up for either a bigger tank or a cheapo rubbermaid. I seriously got a 40 gallon rubbermaid at wal mart for 10 bucks.
