Hi, I'm going to get the following for my 3 inch turtle Bently's new home.

100 gallon stock tank
Mercury Vapor bulb
Fluval FX5
300 watt Visi-Therm Delux water heater

I need an idea for a basking spot. I wanted to do the rubbermaid thing in my other post: http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewt ... highlight=, but my dad doesn't think it will work. I wanted to try egg crate, but I'm not sure how that's going to work in my stock tank, plus, my dad doesn't like the idea after I showed him some pictures. I can't do cork bark b/c I have a stock tank. My dad keeps saying that he wants to just put a big rock or something in there but I don't see how that's going to work because the water is going to be deep. We're going to buy the stock tank and see what we are going to do with it. Another option would be to drill holes in it and attach a premade floating dock to it. Any suggestions?

I have cork bark in a 100 gallon stock tank. If it's a Rubbermaid, you can use egg crate (cut to fit the center of the tank) and add tiles. You can also get an acrylic basking area and attach it the side, though that would require some drilling.
