Nice! Do you have a UVB light to go with that?

place it about 10 inches away from the basking area and try to imitate the sun.
10-12 ours of light a day would be good
how big is that tank??

10 gallon temporary tank...and I have some fixture/wattage issues
I just went out and spent a lot of money to correct the problem and was left confused

I have been taking them out for natural sun
this is a link to my problem thread http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17932

nice job!

your turtles are in the same size tank as my smallest who i had to separate from my other because of aggressiveness....already.

but anyways.

we have very similar setups!
same dock, same filter, same lamp!

as for the UVB placement, i saw that you wanted to go back and replace the hood with another clamp. good idea.

just note that reptiglos are longer than the heat bulbs, so it will extend longer than the clamp lamps bowl for hiding the light will.

so in other words, it WILL be bright for your eyes unless you face it away towards a wall or completely down haha.

the clamp lamps are way easier to use though, i have a longer hood lamp too, and its so frustrating to setup placement. grar.

That looks great! Be careful though lots of debris will get trapped under the rocks.

Backgrounds make all the difference don't they?

I have lots of ideas! Trouble is, most of them suck!

I just have my uvb bulb in a regular desk lamp on a big stack of books. Tacky, I know. But it works.
