In a sand picture tutorial to add to the sand FAQ?

I plan on adding some more sand tomorrow, and just bought a 50 lb of quickrete sand, I would take pictures of the whole process, from washing to putting in the tank.

I know most people have already switched to sand, but there is a slow steady interest in it, and i think maybe a photo tutorial would be a good addition.

So what do you think?

I think that would be great. If nothing else it will help those who really are thinking about putting sand in.

thats what i'm talking about, finally got some interest haha.

nc,
no the sand wont get in the filter if you keep the intake a minimum of 3" above the sand, I recommend 4". this allows time for the sand to settle before it hits the intake..

Yes, I would like to see it! Also, could you show how you clean the sand? I am very curious about how you clean it. I don't mean how you clean it before you put it in the tank, but how you clean it when you are maintaining your tank.

When I upgrade I would like to try sand.

No problem! I'll make sure I take extra pictures during that process.
