Habitat - Indoor :: What I have in my tank

My tank consist of 1RES named Cyka, in a 50 gallon tank, 36 x 18 x 18. A floating log, a Zoo med Basking ramp, a Visi-Therm Stealth heater that just arrived yesterday....had a glass heater covered with pcv pipe until I could get another one. A bummer of a filter: Fluval 4Plus. At the moment I only have a 75 watt bulb in a Flukers 8.5" clamp lamp for heat. I have a hole in the Zilla Screen for the bulb.....She likes to try to get out of the tank. I am waiting on a delivery today for the T-Rex 100 Watt Flood Active Heat Bulb. I have small rocks in the tank that I will be taking out this weekend....I have to buy more Repti-Safe. It is time for a tank cleaning. Oh by the way riding down the street and guess what I saw this tank for $35.00 talked the man down to $20.00. The tank needed silicone work and was dirty but Cyka said thank you. Had her in a Critter Cage.....Please don't buy them ...Can't fill them with water. Found my receipt and took it back to the store along with the Reptile Water Fall Filter.. Both had been used for 20 days or more. Got a refund. 30 day money back guarantee. Do I have to wait 24 hrs. for the heater to heat up the tank water?

Just responding to the question at the end---when I wanted to shorten the length of time needed to heat the water in the tank, I used to heat some water on the stove and add it to the tank water to raise the temp more quickly. If you do this, pour the water down the length of the tank rather than in one spot and avoid having any of the hot water hit the glass.

Sounds like a real good start. I'd pick up some thermometers -- I prefer the stick-on LCD type and a temp gun.
