Habitat - Indoor :: Super Turtle Dock?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Has anyone ever tried to nail or drill a hole into one of the Zoo Med Turtle Docks? I was thinking of tying two together to make a big one for Gnarles but I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

Do you have any ideas or anything?
Do you think it would it just break?

I think I've seen one that someone put a larger one on top of a smaller one (for extra floatation. I think they siliconed it together, then put it on the same bar.

On a couple of different occasions, someone had their turtle eat a nail/screw. For a dock, I'd go for something completely natural (cork bark) or indestructible (pvc/tile).

You could drill holes in each dock and then zip tie them together.

I would just go with silicone. Seems like the easiest and cleanest looking way to go.

That's what I was planning on doing but I'm afraid if I drill the holes the whole thing will break.

I'll probably just got with the silicone.

There is also a very large turtle dock I saw at a pet shop the other day. I didn't know they made them that large. I don't know the exact size but it was large. I don't know how big you turtle is.

I've been trying to find the large around here. They had it once when the turtles where little, and I figured I'd just buy that once they grew up, but now they're all grown up and none of the pet stores carry it anymore. :/

i drilled 2 x 12mm holes in one end then took two of the suction cups that came with it and stuffed them i the holes then just stuck it on. ill post pic tomorrow

It definitely shouldn't break if you drilled holes in it. If you want a large dock and the stores don't sell them, you could order it online or ask the stores to order one for you.
