Lower the temp on the heater, if you have one. Open up the hood or lids on the tank. Drop some ice cubes in the tank or add some cold water. You can also blow a fan across the surface of the water.

ok ill try that, but could it be the thermometor(its digital, not sure of the brand) its 11 pm and its says the temp is 82.3 degrees now and i was thinking that it would be a lower temp than before, could it be that the thermometor is wrong.

ive found out the brand. Its tom aquarium temp alert. I've read some reviews about it, some people say its sucks and its not accurate, but other people say its perfect and one of the most accurate thermometors. So for me its 50/50 and i was wondering if any of you guys have it and what you think of it.

It's always better to have two different types (preferrably from two different brands) of thermometers on hand, so you can always double-check if there's any question.

I say get another one, not to replace your current one, but to supplement it.

Another thing you can do is fill a water bottle up then freeze and just leave it in the tank till its liquid again. It takes the temp a couple degrees down.

I'm able to drop the temp, but i'm worried about about the thermometer, 1 review that i read said that its reads a temp 5 degrees above that actual temperature

If you can get ahold of a regular human thermometer, you can use it to test how accurate your other one is. They're really cheap and really accurate.
