So after I was done cleaning my 404, I brought it back into my room and st it down in its place. I positioned everything and was about to re-attach the pipes to the filter when the output pipe came undone from the locking mechanism. It started acting like a syphon onto my floor. I stopped the flow by raising the pipe up, but I'd say about 1-2 Gallons of water spilled onto my WOOD floor next to my WOOD desk & WOOD stand. Anyway, I soaked up the water, but I think some got under my stand. This happended yesterday and no damage has shown itself yet.

Let it be a lesson to you, make sure those pipes are attatched tightly!

I've done something like that with my FX5! I closed the output nozzle, but not the input nozzle, so when I removed the output, it started pumping all over  For some reason, I have problems with Ralph's filter, and I've soaked that area several times

No, the carpet soaked all the water up

I put a little space heater in the area to dry it up quickly, so I don't think there would have been any damage. I usually have a bunch of rags around when I do the filters, so I can soak any spills up quickly.
