I think it would be safe to go with a 100 gallons for now. When your turtles get
bigger, you'd need about 150 gallons in the end.

Here's how I calculate:
For 6-inch turtle (1st turtle) = 60 gallons
For 5-inch turtle (2nd turtle) = 0.5 * 50 gallons = 25 gallons
Right now: 85 gallons -> 100 gallons to minimize aggression.

When both reach 10 inches:
100 gallons + 50 gallons = 150 gallons.

Of course, larger would be better, and females tend to grow more than 10 inches :)

Well, the rule of thumb is 10 gallons of water per inch of shell per turtle.
So in your case, you'd want (5+6)*10 = 110 gallon tank.

Sometimes that's relaxed a bit to 10 gallons for the first turtle, and 5 gallons for the second (and third, etc.), in which case, you'd want a (6*10 + 5*5) = 85 gallon tank.

However, bigger is always better. Also keep in mind that these sizes of tanks would be OK for "right now". With two females, they'll keep growing, possibly even to double their size. To avoid future upgrades, get the biggest tank you can afford.
