Habitat - Indoor :: height of the fx5...help?

My dad is building me a stand for my 135 gallon tank and I plan on purchasing the FX5. I was wondering if someone could please measure how tall the filter is so he can allow for enough clearance between the bottom of the tank and the top of the filter.

I would allow at least 20-21 inches of clearance for intake and outtake tubing.

EDIT: make it at least a good 25-30 inches to allow you room to remove the tubes when cleaning

From the top of the filter, or the base of the stand?

from where the filter stands, to where the tubing leaves the filter.

I built my stand to be 28" tall.It fits any type of filter and don't have to get annoyed when taking the filter out for cleaning.

The stand I built is 30" tall. There's approx 23" space from the bottom shelf to the top of the stand, and it's a nice (snug) fit for my FX5.

The filter itself, from bottom to the top of the valve, is about 20" (just measured mine), but you need a couple extra inches if you want to be able to access the valves.
