Habitat - Indoor :: Awesome new set up

I have been looking to upgrade from my 29 gallon to something larger. I have a 4 inch yellow bellied slider and am in a comfortable spot finacially and bought this sweet package deal from fluval.

Here is a pic of the set up:


It comes with the ~90 gallon tank, stand, two T5 bulbs with the fixture that hangs up top, heater, and all the other things they throw in. Also a fluval 405 canister.

It is an awesome tank and the stand is so modern. Since they have the nice T5s I bought a reptiglo 26 watt UVB bulb that is on the basking area in the clamp lamp. The T5s put off some good heat so temp isnt an issue.

I only have one pic I took with my phone of the set up. The sand hasnt setteled yet so the water looks murky. I will post more pictures when I can. The basking area is temporary cuz I am building an ATBA. Filtration I have running now are the Fluval 405 canister, aquaclear 110 power filter, and the fluval 4plus submerisable.

the total set up with the deco and tax came out to $1100. Well worth it I think for the style of the tank. I love the open access up top and the curved corners.

Very nice! I've seen tanks like that at my lfs before, and always think they just look so cool! I've never seen such a nice stand before though!

Just make sure your turt can't climb over the top. If he can hook his paws over the top, he'll find a way out!

That's a pretty penny, but it should last you a long while. Nice tank.

That's actually a pretty good price for what you got. Everything you have is pretty custom, the stand, the rounded corners, the size of the tank... $1100 is pretty great.

Not sure how I feel about it....certainly different but that is not an attractive price tag. I mean, I know why it costs more, but i don't think I could fork it over.....

it costs more yes. but it should last me a while. I was sick of going into a store or looking on craigs list and seeing the standard coffin style 55 gallon tanks.

and its all new. came with a decent canister and the T5 lighting system. those are $200 a peice.

I really dig the setup. I want to do that same exact bottom but with sand, driftwood and live plants. That is very nice, you definitely got a good deal! You get what you pay for now a days. I'm so lucky because down here in Central America we get stuff at quarter the price of the states if you know who to talk to;) I like it tho, very good job! I applaud you8)

thats a neat setup. how often do you clean it with 3 filters going? lol
