Just got an awesome deal on a 40 gallon breeder tank. Regularly $129 I got for $45. Now I just need to figure out the stand. The tank is roughly 4 inches larger then the 55 gallon stand I already have.
If I stationed it where there was 2 inches over the edge in from and back do you think that would work?
2 - RES
-Slider 5.5" male
-Luckie 5"
1- eastern painted turtle - Anubis 5.25"
1- southern painted turtle - AmunRa 2.5"
1- northern dbt - Tiki 4"
1- concentric northern dbt - Isis 5"
2 - DSH cats Spike and Grim

I wouldn't want the edges hanging off. If you could put down a good and thick (at least 1/2") piece of plywood on top of your existing stand so it supported the edges a bit, that would probably be OK.
