I figured he'd been here for a week tomorrow, I had the sand ready, why not go ahead and clean his tank out and put the sand in. I didn't even have any cloudy water with the crayola sand. Here's some pictures, its purple to go with his name:
The skin has been shed now so he doesn't have anything hanging on him anymore. He's also been eating a whole lot now. Loves his cuddlebone and surprisingly loves zucchini even more. I have to get my floor tile cut to size still for my ATBA and then he'll have even more room. The plexi-glass walls I made for the ATBA have kept my room mates cat from messing with the tank much. He was up on the bar earlier tonight but just looked for a minute before realizing he couldn't get in and got down. Donnie seems happy, swimming a lot more now, basking a ton, and of course eating. Not entirely sure about me or my room mates yet but I hoping he gets less shy around us with time.
