Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Last night I noticed that mikeys water had a filmy residue on top. I put my finger in and pulled it out and it looked nasty. We have a Fluval 305 in a 20g. Anyone know what is causing this?

Probably oil from food or dust. You can upgrade the filter (canister filter is the
best) or agitate the water surface using bubbles or aiming the filter output.
You may also want to feed in separate container.

Ah, sorry, I'm not familiar with brands and types. :P
Then you can try agitating the water surface, like I mentioned previously. :)
