Habitat - Indoor :: HELP

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Post Posted: Thu Oct 08, 2009 6:18 pm   HELP

I tried finding a post but short on time. We just bought Mikey a new tank. It came with a heater and a filter. The heater is glass. If its standing up in the corner will my 5.5" turtle break it? Anyone else use all glass heaters? We have a few extras around the house but they won't add up to 55g. I need help

try laying the heater horizontally as low as you can in the tank to get it out of the way. Also, blocking and hiding it with fake plants might help protect it from you turtle's shell.

Thanks Papoo. We just bought him a non-breakable one. We don't have plants or anything yet. We're slowly expanding his home.

good, as long as you have a place where your little guy can rest while he's underwater you'll be fine for a while.

Thanks papoo. before this site we had nothing down. Right now all we know is the basics and Mikey seems to be ok with that
