Well do all of you really follow the 10 gallon per every inch rule?

Not me.
I'm housing my four turtles in a 30 gallon tank. Going to upgrade to 125 gallons.

I do and I don't. My RES is about 1" and I've got him in a 20 gal tank that I plan to keep him in until he's probably 3 1/2" nearing 4". Then, he'll move into my 40 gal tank until I find something bigger and better for him. What I want to do is just get a 125-ish gallon tank and move him into that at 5 or 6 inches.

I've got 3 turtles (3 inches, 2 inches and 2 inches) in my 40 gal right now, but they will be re-homed soon. It's the only option for them right now and they seem to be doing fine for the moment.

I am right now, he's 3.5 inches in a 55 gallon tank. I plan on keeping him in it for the rest of his life. And I do know 100% that he is a male.

I voted no, but I do in a way. I've got two RES. One is 5.5 inches and the other is 4.5 and they are in a 55 gallon tank. So, it works for either if they were alone, but together it isn't quite big enough.

Someone told me on an earlier post to count 10 g / inch for the first turtle and 5 g / inch each for the second and third turtles. Thank you, someone. That does seem reasonable for minimum tank size.

i dont but will once i find their permanent tank. I have two 3 to 4 inch turtles in a 55 gallon tank. I am saving to get their permanent 180 gallon tank.

I can't, but that's only because of the rescue. It would be physically impossible for me to provide the 10 gallon per inch rule for over 80 turtles at any one time. Maybe if I had acres of land with ponds on it.
