Could it be possible to use the xp3 filter on a 10 gallon aquarium or would that be way too small?

it'd be possible.
but the water flow in the tank woulkd be superfast and i dont think anything would be able to swim in it.

I'd say no. I'd invest in a larger tank first.

I say it could be done, with the regulator in place next to the spray bar, it would be able to limit the amount of flow... You'd turn that tank over about 40x an hr or more (with it turned down)....

Just because you can do it dosent mean you should. With the XP 3 pumping like normal 350GPM, your looking at 21000 GPH, with a 10 gal tank your looking at a turn over of 2100 times an hr. Seems way excessive
