So I have two new turtles, and I've set up their habitat in what I think is an acceptable way...my only concern is their light source. I bought a light that specifically gives off UVB rays for reptiles, so that's fine...but I'm not as sure about UVA. There's a heating lamp that gives off an orange-colored light, and at the moment it has a 75W bulb. Are the turtles getting UVA rays from this lamp? I have no idea...also, the temperature in their tank is in the high 70s, and about 86F in the basking area. Is this warm enough?
Thanks!
