The prices are right and they come to my area in a month so I could just pick up my new aquarium from them then. It almost seems to good to be true! But then again, it seems like they mostly make tanks for retail environments so maybe it makes sense that the prices are lower than what I have found at the shops for consumers. What do you think? Is it worth it?

im struggling to find the posting that said it, but someone has purchased a large aquarium from them and that the price was really good and they delivered it to the house... hopefully someone will speak up about it, the only problem they came across was moving it up the stairs to where they wanted it...

It's me! They have drop points where you can pick them up, but there is a delivery charge. I got 120 gallon for 350.00 with delivery I believe. It is very solid, and I can't wait to get it upstairs. It is still in the basement.

But they mention no website The delivery and show dates look the same though. Please let me know how this goes. I've been looking for a used tank to no avail and this would be a nice option.

www.glasscages.com IS AWESOME!!!! I just ordered my 240 gal. tall tank from them, and I can't say enough about them. The service was great, even the truck driver at the pick up location was incredibly nice. It only cost me $1,000 for the tank, AND the stand, compared to the $4,500 one I was going to buy. The tank, and stand are built to last, very nice quality. If you can find the muscle to get your tank off there truck, then I would highly recommend them. I will post pics as soon as I can get some friends over here to get it in the house.

Shipping for both combined, was only $125, but that depends on what size tank you get, and if you get the stand. It is cheap because you meet them at one of there meeting points( http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=Deliv ), and they only take it to the back of the truck. You have to get it into your vehicle. And believe me if you get a big tank you will need at least four guys. My tank weighs 800 pounds EMPTY! They can set-up freight shipping, but I imagine that would cost more then the tank and stand did!

Sounds awesome guys! I guess I'll go ahead and give these guys a shot. I sent them an email asking about shipping charges and pickup at the show so hopefully I hear from them soon. I want to get a 75 gallon tank for $120!! I'll let you guys know how it goes!

A lot of people in my area just got together on a bunch of custom made aquariums from GlassCages and they are all very pleased with what they got. The only thing anybodya had any concern over was they only provide like a 90 day warranty, so fill it up outside as soon as you get it home to make sure it doesn't leak. Some people have commented on the silicone seams being a little bit sloppy but nothing major.

For really big tanks, make sure that you place the tank on a flat level surface before filling it. Any warping or irregularities in the surface that the tank is sitting on can cause stress on the seams and cause leaking so be careful.

Glass Cages also does customizations so if you want to add a ramp and basking area, they can do that too. You just have to be very specific about what you want, provide them with a faxed drawing if possible.

My goal in my turtle lifetime is to get one of 600 or less.Its sure an expense but worth it over the course of time.
