Habitat - Indoor :: What about adding mud to turtle tank on one side????

Hi everyone, I was wondering if I would divide the tank from one end and add mud to eat and some plants so the turts can hide, do you think they would like that? They are RES. Please let me know thanks.

Mud to eat??? I wouldn't recommend it, it would make the tank REALLY dirty, and seems pretty pointless.

Oh sorry LOL I have no idea why I put the word eat there LOL I didnt mean it. So they can dig and hide or soemthing like that, I would put a divider something so the mud or potting soil or bark something so it wont mix in with the water.

Nah, it'll just mix and cause a mess, just buy some river rocks (bigger than the turtle's head) and pile them on the bottom if you want. More natural and cleaner.

Even if you divide the mud from the water they will be wet when they get to the dirt which will make the dirt into mud and stick to them and accumulate and they will drag it back to the water which will make the water muddy.

Dividing a tank also takes away valuable swimming space.
