Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

So we bought Rexi her first 6 rosie red minnows and in the matter of minutes she had consumed 5 by my count and 1 she cant seem to catch. Makes me regret feeding her right before I stuck them in but I think she will be alright.

Strike that she just got the last one while I was typing this.

We were thinking it might be smart when we get rosie reds to just get a ton of them but I dont want a ton of dead fish in my normal fish tank. We were thinking just taking them out and feeding them to her when we wanted because petco who is the only place that has them is almost a hour away.

My goodness! Rexi must be quite a hunter - those rosies are pretty fast.

Vtods -- Regarding feeder fish. I would suggest that you purchase as many as you need for a month or two and freeze them. By doing that you can feed them a feeder fish when you wnat and also you can make sure that the feeder fish are parasite free. The freezing them kills any parasite. This is how I do it.
