Feeding and Nutrition :: best bones?

I normally feed my res cuttlebone or guppies for calcium. I just fed him a ham bone (it was cooked and rinsed well) and he has been chomping at it for an hour. So what are some animal bones that your turtles like and how long do they last?

you might wanna be careful feeding you turtle animal bones since sometimes they can break into shards and it can cut the inside of your turtle

1 Chinese Box turtle ~ Chief Lemon
2 Redfoot Tortoises ~ Sheegua & Muugua
1 Toy Poodle ~ Pudding
3 firebellied newts ~ Cassandra, Mr.Poo, and Wiggles.

That sounds like a pretty bad idea, I have no idea why you would want to try something like that.

ditto. the idea with cuttlebone is that it is soft. it is important to remove the hard backing of the bone as a precaution as well.
