to feed my turtle freeze dried shrimp on a regular basis? or should i just give them to him as a treat.

Only as a treat. To much protien can lead to a pyramiding shell.

Have you had a chance to look over the nutrition section? It has a lot of good info on feeding balanced diets, it's really quite helpful.

turt bo 1 -- You need to make sure that you give them all the vitamins and nutrients that they need daily. I feed mine the Reptomine pellets and mix in other food along with them. The shrimp is ok but not as a daily food. I even throw in some frozen feeder fish to round out their diet.
