Hmmm...we've had discussions before about what they tell you at pet stores....

I think I'll stick with the advice from the experienced turtle owners here, like Steve;

Then you don't know this "pet store". Either way this is a controversial subject, do what you want I was only giving my advice since I have been around herps since I was about 8 years old.

why does my cuttlebone float at 1st then sink?? LOL

When RES eat cuttlebone do they seem to spit most of it out while chewing? If so will they still get a well enough calcium intake? I feed my RES a headpiece size every 2 days. I tried feeding her out of the water but she won't eat haha.
