Hello folks. I am trying to introduce veggies to my RES. I started with some delicious Romaine Lettuce. I threw little pieces in the tank, but he barely noticed them. I'm hoping that he eventually comes to realize that this is good stuff for him. Is there anythng I can do to entice him to eat veggies?

You might try red leaf lettuce. Some seem to prefer it to romaine or green types.

Green leaf lettuce! And I just give a whole shell-sized piece, and he loves dragging it around and munching on it. Maybe try a larger piece, that way it's not easily missed.

My Michelangelo will not touch any vegetable that's not red or purple. Piper won't really have anything to do with any of them. Right now I'm just taking the easy way out and feeding them jello shots full of veggies (which they looooove). You could also try dipping a veggie piece in something tasty like tuna juice to entice your turtle.
