hi all! i was wondering if there was a limit on feeding veggies??
well right now im cutting up Green Leaf lettuce and a piece of a carrot
but i dunno how much is too much or is there no limit? veggies are good anyway :P looking forward on your responses! thanks! :lol:

edit: oh ya before discovering this site, i used to spoil my turtles with lots of pellets >.> so.. yeah.. lol i dont want them to take in too much veggies if it's bad. yep.. i just don't want to overfeed :wink:

There's no official limit on how many veggies to feed, but if your RES is getting too much veg he'll end up having loose stools.
There are also restrictions on certain veggies, like carrots for instance. Carrots are pretty high in sugar, so you'll want to restrict them to once a week at most.
Check out the main feeding page re:plants (http://www.redearslider.com/plants.html) and the stickies on this forum to gain an idea which veggies should be restricted.
