Hey everyone. I originally bought frozen bloodworms for my African Dwarf Frogs, but I read on this website that turtles will eat them too. I noticed that they should be given moderately, but how often is that? And does that change if I have a hatchling, since they are more carnivorous?

They are 100% bloodworms with no preservatives added. How many times a week can I feed them to my turtle?

My hatchling is 1.5" and is currently enjoying a diet of ReptoMin, Jello Shots, and Cuttlebone (though he isn't too interested in the latter two). He is fed once a day.

Bloodworms count as a protein, so about once a month should be fine.
Have you tried veggies on him yet?

I've tried veggies in the Jello Shots, but not veggies alone. I don't think he'll eat them, but I'll try it out tomorrow. I've got some red leaf lettuce and baby carrots in my fridge.

I thought hatchlings needed more protien then that.

I don't think bloodworms have that much protein (or nutrition period for that matter). I used to give a cube (frozen) weekly when my painteds were hatchlings.
