Feeding and Nutrition :: Can you feed your turtle sea monkeys?

Since sea monkeys are brine shrimp I was wondering if it was safe to feed them to red eared sliders.

I guess it might be okay, but shrimp really aren't part of an RES's diet in the wild... I've always thought that RES metabolise protein better than other nutrients they need, but just in case I'd make sure these are gutloaded and bought from a pet store.

Turtles love shrimp......
It's their favorite food IMO.Never ate or seen a "sea monkey" in my life,but regular shrimp would be a better choice.

Shrimp can be part of there diet in the wild. The one turtles eat in the wild are usually fairy shrimp a type of brine shrimp.

There usually located in temporary pools in spring. So the the turtles have to wonder around to find them. I think turtles know the location and the time well around here cause right when the fairy shrimp appear the turtles are always there too.
