Feeding and Nutrition :: Newbie having turtle trouble

Hi,

I'd like to say I'm glad I stumbled across this place today. I had a RES when I was about nine which was about 14 years ago. I came into owning an RES back in July when it was hatchling. Recently she has decided to no longer eat her ReptoMin Baby turtle sticks. I'm afraid she is getting sick from not eating for maybe a week now. I can't get her to respond to any kind of food. I also have some tank set-up questions however; I'll as about them in the Habitat forums. Thanks in advanced for any advice.

right now, for some reason, mine wont eat turtle pellets either. or beg for it...just wait soon later they might go back to their old ways and start eating again.

have you tried fish? tuna? lettuce? fruits?

I tried freeze dried krill, and apple this I left for work. A friend of mine from an animal clinic suggested I try crickets or live fish.

try the live fish. crickets too. hopefully it works

I'm kinda happy atm. She seems to be more energetic now that her tank is set up a little better,however; she still is not responding to any food that I've seen so far. I'm hoping it'll just be another day or so then she'll be back to eating like a garbage truck.

Do you know the water temp? RES will slow down or stop eating if the water is too cool.

Its currently 76 degrees. The last heater I had stopped working properly. Now that the water is warmer she's being a turtle again.
