I have a baby res that's about 2 inches and im not really sure how much blood worms i should feed her. i bought them in frozen blocks and 1 whole block seems a bit much for her.

I never feed blood worms, but a couple worms a week should be ok.

Earthworms are better than bloodworms in terms of nutrition. I've used frozen blocks of bloodworms as treats with smaller turtles (they're in blister packs). If you look at the composition, most of that frozen cube is nothing but moisture. If you think one cube is too much, cut it in half. I've actually quartered cubes for smaller turtles and offered the pieces---easier for them to grab and less messy to eat.

Not that many products have expiration dates on them...The bloodworms I've bought are frozen, and as long as the unused portion is kept that way until it's used, it should be OK for a good while.

I have 2 inch turtles and i feed them bloodworms about once a week and they eat the whole block before the other 2 even see it, LOL! I end up putting 2 blocks so the others can get some, watch out they will fight. I also use the bloodworms with the frogs and it took alot of work to talk my mom into letting me get pellets and bloodworm blocks for them.

I have a blister pack of bloodworms that I will treat my RES's with every now and then. I'll usually drop a whole cube into the tank with the larger RES (~8", and several minnows in the tank that enjoy the bloodworms) and split another in half for the smaller RES (~6", just one minnow as of now) and divide the remainder of the half-cube amongst the other tanks (betta, goldfish, triops, and tetras).
