i give my 2.5 inch turtle around 3 pellets everyday,its around the size of its head. but they r gona almost instantly. if i drop them in one at a time they r gone b4 i can drop the next one in. should i be feeding my turtle more? or is it just the way turtles r?

Just the way turtles are! You can drop in 3 pellets or 30 and they will be gone in a matter of seconds. I know it seems like you are underfeeding them, but most people think that animals can eat as much as they want (they also think humans can eat as much as they want). My turtle gets 8 pellets every day and she is 6.5", if that helps you for comparison. My cats and dog are on a strict diet as well, the cats are overweight because I was following the cat food bag's idea of what they should be fed, and I'm trying to do better with the dog so I don't have to work on weight loss.

Are you both using the same brand of pellets? Different brands have different pellet sizes.

What you're doing is fine - feed enough that would fit in the turtle's head, minus the neck.
