Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have been trying to decide on what to feed my turtle. He will only eat crickets and grass hoppers. I read that if you want them to eat new foods hold the foods they are use to, but it had been almost a week since he has eaten. So would he be ok if I got some calcium supplement spray to spray the food with or should I not feed him crickets and grass hoppers?

Most of your question should be answered after you read this section: http://redearslider.com/index_nutrition.html

Withhold those foods/treats if he is otherwise healthy. What is a calcium spray?

The calcium spray is a spray that you spray on live food wait 15 seconds then feed the turtle normally.

Yeah i saw that spray at petco and I was debating to buy it or not. Looks good to me spray the pellets or whatever and let it dry.
So he does not even eat pellets?
The one thing i could think of is just drop pellets in his tank once in a while for a day or 2 and not feed him anything else. If he is really hungry then he will eat the pellets.
