My RES's refuses to eat their usual Reptomin sticks after offering them freeze dried shrimp and krill. They would pick out the shrimp and krill and leave the Reptomin sticks alone. I've tried feeding them just the stickes itself but they dont go anywhere near it anymore. What should i do?

How big are your RES and how long have you had them? If they're generally healthy, just continue with the pellets and scoop out the discarded ones. They'll eat it eventually, they're just holding out for the tasty stuff. Don't give in :)

Theyre about 1.5 inches, I've had them for almost two months. I've started giving them the shrimp and krills about a week ago.

If you're giving them the Reptomin that's mixed with the shrimp and krill (Select?), don't buy that anymore. Get just the plain Reptomin.

Yea, I feel that is these turtles get hungry enough they will eventually try to eat anything. Like trying to eat the basking dock, the silicone tank liner, and/or the thermometer. Lol, my turtles do this stuff even when they are not hungry, go figure. :)

I used to think it was so funny watching them try to eat the seal on the tank...whats super funny is when you first catch them wavin there hands in each others face....not good but still funny as hell!
