when someone says hand feeding, do they mean actually hold the pellets in the hand then just holding out each one of the pellets for turtle to eat? or just putting the pellets in the water yourself instead of using a mechanical feeder? :?

Holding the food while your turtle takes it. Very cute when they're little, a bit dangerous when they're bigger :)

i guess i can try doing that. it seems as though squishy is scared of me and maybe this will help her feel more safe around me. am i supposed to pinch it and just hold it over the water. or just kind of a little pile in my palm

squishy is almost 6 inches and pretty agressive. i tried it today and she nipped my finger but it didnt hurt. it just felt like pressure, unless she wasnt biting hard it was probably a 2 on the pain scale out of 10. im hoping that the more i do this the less aggressive she'll be and less scared of me when i come close to the tank.
